This is a medium flat rate priority USPS shipped box of 9 orchid plugs. It will include 3 super variegated vanilla plugs, 3 vanilla planifolia plugs, and 3 anoectochilus chapaensis (golden jewel orchid)

The pics included are of the actual plants being shipped. The golden jewel has velvety leaves. It is a warm growing species. It is easy to grow and flower with beautiful foliage among the jewel orchid family. We think they grow best in New Zealand sphagnum moss, allowing the moss to just approach dryness between waterings. When it blooms, the flowers are small and  bright yellow that emerges from the center in a straight spike of multiple blooms. Although the flowers are cute, jewel orchids tend to be grown for the gorgeous foliage.

The vanilla plugs: Yes, vanilla orchids is where we get vanilla bean which is used in so many things including baking! It grows like a vine and is classified in the epiphyte family or orchids. After the plant has reached a height of at least 4 feet,  you will want to make sure they have a sturdy structure to grow onto, such as a tree. They will require bright, filtered light and higher temps. Vanilla grows best in high humidity environment. We have ours planted in a New Zealand sphagnum moss.
